Questions
For companies
What does Buzz Data Desk do?
We run a sourcing network that connects established companies in the US, Canada and UK with vetted AI companies licensing business data. We profile your company, find a buyer whose program fits and make the introduction. The deal is between you and the buyer.
Do you see our data?
Not the content. Connecting your systems for an estimate is optional. When you do, we use metadata-only, read-only access wherever the system offers it and keep aggregate counts only. Anything we have to read to count is discarded immediately, and our connection provider runs with zero data retention. We never ask for exports or samples.
How do you get paid?
The buyer pays us a referral fee when a deal closes. It never comes out of your payout, and you never pay us anything.
Who sees our company’s details?
Buyers see an anonymized profile first. Your name and contact details go only to a buyer you’ve agreed to be introduced to.
How much could we be paid?
Published buyer programs range from about $100,000 to over $3 million per company, depending on size, history, record types and volume. These figures are illustrative and not guaranteed.
What about client confidentiality agreements?
Your lawyer reviews this as part of the deal. Records covered by NDAs can be excluded from scope entirely.
What about our employees?
Names and contact details are removed during de-identification. Whether to notify staff depends on your policies and where they’re based, so ask your lawyer.
Our company has closed. Can we still take part?
Often, yes, if the records were kept and the rights stayed with you. If the business was sold, the purchase agreement decides.
For AI teams
Do you sell or host datasets?
No. We source and profile companies and introduce you to the owner. You license directly from them.
What’s in a data profile?
Industry, region, size, years of history, systems, approximate volumes per record type, rights status and declared exclusions.
Can we see samples?
Samples are arranged directly with the owner after an introduction, usually under an NDA and de-identified by you.
What does it cost?
A referral fee on completed licenses, agreed before the first introduction. No retainer and no exclusivity.
